Harissa originates from North Africa and while every region has its own variation, it’s particularly associated with Tunisia. The versatility of harissa is one of the best things about it - use it with chicken, fish, lamb, vegetables, pastries, couscous & etc. The harissa spice blend by itself makes for a fantastic BBQ rub, but it also works as a marinade, or dipping sauce when whisked with a bit of olive oil and vinegar. You can also add to ketchup, mayo or butter for aromatic dip and spread.
