The Tellicherry peppercorns come from India’s Malabar Coast, just north of Kerala, which is thought to be the birthplace of piper nigrum. The berries for black peppercorns are picked from the vine before maturity. They dry under the sun until the skin turns black.
Tellicherry pepper has a full and long flavor with distinct hints of spice, wood and bitter grapefruit. Ideal for your roast beef, sardines, or braised salmon. Its flavour is at its best when grinded at the last minute.
